Abstract: Historical famine between China and European countries brought serious social effect. Under the affection of famine, the factors of agricultural technology, structure of agriculture production and agricultural development level had impacted on the situation after natural disasters. High level agriculture production benefited to control famine and reduce natural disasters in ancient China, but it is also enlarged the area affected by natural disasters. On the contrary, European countries always suffered destruction from natural disasters, because the low level agriculture technology couldn’t create suitable living environment for cultivated plants and domestic animals before the period of industry revolution.
