Abstract: This paper generalizes and applies method of the Sommerfeld transformation, therefore, the analytical solutions of the fluid flow between stepped spherical surfacesare derived when the centrifugal inertial effects are taken into consideration. Itpresents a theoretical basis for exact design of the spherical hydrostatic thrust bearing.
